WORKS!
This is an email
from a CS Family
this week about
raising funds.
" Dear Jimmy,
Just wanted to
let you guys
know, we needed
this season to
raise more funds
to help our
daughter play on
a travel team.
Our goal was to
go out last
Saturday and
raise half the
total fee.
During the week,
we made a list
of all the
businesses, etc
that we pay (
Dentist, Doctors,
Accountant,
Restaurants
we frequent, grocery
stores we
purchase from,
even friends and
family.
Basically a list
of all who we
have paid for
years.) We had
a list of 26
contacts.
We left Saturday
morning, with
our daughter
dressed out in
VB uniform. We
contacted by
lunch 15 of the
26 and had sold
$550 in program
ads. Only two of
the 15 said no,
or at least
didn't pay that
day.
It just takes a
plan, a positive
attitude and
going out and
asking. We
asked for $50
ads, sold two
$100 ads, four
$50 ads, and the
rest was $25.
ALL IN A HALF A
DAY!
So for us.. it
worked and was
VERY EASY.

keep up with
stats, results,
and rankings. A
Team parent
could do it,
with approval
from coach.

Every team
in the
state's
schedule,
directions
to their
school,
coaches
names,mascots.
If folks
will report
their scores
results can
be kept up
daily.
There is an
opportunity
to vote for
teams for a
Top Ten
ranking and
they send
the poll out
to various
media
sources.
Please read
the

and go to

do what we
can to
improve the
visibility
of our
sport!

Volleyball
Coaches Poll
has started
with AAAA,
thanks to
the
cooperation
of key
coaches
headed by
Warren Coker
of Sumter,
and we plan
to grow
quickly to a
statewide
Top Ten
ranking of
all four
classes.
Here's how
you can
help:
Coaches, get
registered
and edit
your team's
schedule
with your
results or
choose Team
Reporter to
help you so
your team's
won-lost
record will
be up to
date at all
times. If
so, the
panel of
coaches can
readily have
the
information
on your team
they need to
give
consideration
for a Top
Ten spot.
AAA, AA and
A coaches
wishing to
participate
in the
voting,
please
contact the
ratings
coordinator.

Registration
is
now
open
for
our
2008/09
season.
If
you
plan
to
play,
please
sign
up
now,
it
will
assist
us
in
planning.
All
participants
need
to
sign
up
with
our
Club.
Each
participant
will
also
have
to
sign
our
commitment
contract
and
remit
with
deposit.
C:
For
travel
team
participants,
you
will
also
need
to
sign
up
or
renew
with
USAV
Palmetto
Region.
This
can
be
done
after
Oct.
1st
and
we
will
remind
you
to
do
this
at
that
time.
Fees
and
deposits:
*
Participants
can
pay
a
lump
sum
for
the
program
they
are
signing
up
for.
If a
travel
team,
remit
fee
for
regional
travel until
teams
are
chosen.
* If
installments
are
chosen,
remit
the
initial
deposit.
If
you
prefer,
you
can
split
the
amount
due
for
the
Oct
deposit
between
Sept
and
Oct.
FUNDRAISING:
If
you
choose
to
use
fundraising
to
cover
your
initial
deposit,
we
request
you
have
sufficient
funds
remitted
by
Oct.
10th.
REFUNDS:
Should
you
decide
later
not
to
participate,
we
refund
all
funds
less
a
$35
fee.
