Club South Weekly Newsletters
Beginning in October, we start issuing weekly
newsletters via Constant Contact email service. Below are our recent past
issues. It is critical that your family is receiving this newsletter in
order to be kept informed about current and future plans, changes, tournaments,
practices, etc.
You can sign up
below.. we recommend you input all the email addresses that need to receive
important information on your daughter's program.

Information for ALL PROGRAMS
HOW TO CONTACT
CLUB SOUTH:
You can imagine with 600 players, 50 coaches,
1200 parents the communication overload we
have. Please note who and how to contact Club
South below:

Please understand we get over 300 a day- it
may take a week to get an answer
sometimes... sometimes it may take only a
few minutes. If you need an answer within
48 hours- mark it URGENT. Otherwise be
patient- we will get to them.

Simpsonville Rec from 6-8pm.
THURSDAY: Spartanburg
Developmental Training 5:30-7pm.
Sptbg Non Travel from 7-8:30pm.
FRIDAY: 1st Tryout
session for Developmental Travel 4th-6th
grade: 6-8pm at WSC Sptbg.
Saturday, Dec 1st:
Dev. Training at WSC 9-10:30 Non
Travel Sptbg-11-12:30.
Sunday, Dec 2nd:
Greenville Dev. Training and Non Travel
at POTENTIAL Sports Academy from 2-4pm.
REQUIRED UNIFORM
PICKUP ALL TRAVEL TEAMS: Dec.
7th Fri 4-8pm or Sat. Dec. 8th 10am-4pm.
At Westside Clubs. All travel teams are
required to come sometime between during
scheduled times to pickup uniform
items. If you have your uniform from
last year- each person still needs to
get 08 Practice T.
PROGRAM AD SALES: Reminder that we must
have the ads remitted in the SIZE you
sale and in art ready format. We will
not increase the size or add text.
COACHING STAFF: Our coaching staff and
contact info is
posted here: Names and team assignments
are still tentative and not all Bio's are
posted.
All Travel Teams ( Grvl also) are REQUIRED
to attend uniform pickup, dates and times
shown below.
GREAT NEWS ON FACILITY: We just signed
today a potential arrangement with
Greenville Recreation to use part time there
Pavilion Sports Complex. This is located at
the Ice Skatiing Rink of Old Spartanburg Rd
( off Pelham). They just purchased new
equipment for 4 volleyball courts. Set up
is almost identical to the Plex in Columbia
( no news on Plex is Upstate). We will be
using this facility for tournament play and
some practices/clinics. It is only about 15
mins from our facility.

 Remitting
Fees
REFUNDS- IMPORTANT:
Below is our refund policy:
(refunds will go out within a week to 10
days)
Developmental Training: Full if
requested within the first 3 sessions.
Non Travel:
Full if provided within the first 2
sessions.
Travel Teams:
Full, less $35, only if requested before the
deadline following the 3rd tryout session.
Players who are trying out for multiple
clubs (not locations- eg: CS Greenville )
must (1) have notified Club South and the
region (2) notify CS which club they choose
following the 2nd tryout, unless otherwise
notified. Also, you must have notified us
prior to deadline that you do not plan to
participate to qualify for refund.

Remittance
Reminder that we do not work out of
the Westside club, so no one is there to
accept payments. We should have a drop box
ready soon.
MAKE SURE TO WRITE YOUR DAUGHTERS
NAME ON YOUR CHECK.
HOW TO
REMIT:
You can (1) place in
drop box which will be located in
our Spartanburg WSC location [ not
available yet ] (2) mail to CS: 811

or give to Jimmy. ( Do not give to
coaches or anyone at the WSC) .
We will soon be sending out
detailed bills to all via email..
otherwise your balance will be
posted online each week.

TRAVEL TEAMS: NOTE THE
CHANGE-
We estimated the December installment (
$125). All installments will be adjusted
based on team assignment. Top Teams will be
adjusted to $200 and the difference will be
due. Some teams, who installment is $115,
will have a $10 credit.
Note TOP TEAMS will have a extra $200
deposit due in December. This is used to
make sure the players uphold
their commitment.
Developmental
Training, Developmental Travel, and Non
Travel all have fixed installment
payments and are disclosed on our website.

Developmental Training - Kidz Power
for Spartanburg
For those who are "trying us" for free, the time
has expired, need to make a decision to join.
If joining, please mail or bring a check to the
next practice.
Practice times and days for Nov and Dec is
listed here:
 The
January schedule will be posted soon.
We only have a few more practices remaining
this year. We will take off some time in
December and start back early Jan.
Mark your calanders, the half day
tournaments will be Jan. 19th and Feb. 3rd.
UNIFORMS: We would like each to wear their
Tshirts to each practice. Optional is Royal
Compression shorts/bikers and knee pads. We
will have these available at practices.
For those who would like to purchase a
volleyball, we have used ones for sale for
$12 and new ones for $25.
Don't forget to come do some Christmas
shopping on Dec. 7th or 8th at the WSC. We
will have our volleyball store open.

 Developmental
Travel Program
For experienced players grade 4-6- Spartanburg
Only
For those who have been
attending our Developmental Training, we have to
stop this from now forward, since it is taking
away space from our dev. training kids.
Tryouts for this age group will start Friday,
Nov. 30th 6-8:30pm. Remaining dates are
posted online.
We will have limited spots in this program.
Athletes who do not get placed may choose to
remain in the Developmental Training program or
Non Travel. Excess payments would be refunded
or credited to account.
Additional information can be
viewed here. This group will participate in
4 tournaments, 2 half day located at WSC (
Jan.19 and Feb. 2nd) and 2 full day tournaments,
one of those will be the S. Classic (March 1)
and the other will be determined later.
Players are
welcome to attend the Developmental Training
sessions that
are offered PRIOR to
tryouts at no additional cost.
Greenville Location
will not offer Developmental Travel.

Non Travel Program
for
Spartanburg
For all players, each should have a Mizuno numbered jersey ($25) and a
practice Tshirt ($10). We would like each to
wear black solid bikers when playing matches.
These are optional and can be purchased at the
club.
We are still evaluating players skill level
and group. We will soon set our training
groups, which will consist of about 15 or so
players. When we play matches, we will make
2 teams per group.
The first 4-5 Spartanburg practice dates are
set and can be
viewed here: These will be training
primarily, with match play starting each
week after about 4 weeks. The Greenville dates
have been set and shown below. Currently, we
have Lynn Avant ( Hillcrest HS head coach and
our 18 National Coach ) will head up the
training for Greenville Program.

 Travel
Team Program
All teams have been set and emailed
out.
We look forward to the training and
tournament session, which will begin in
early Jan.
ALL NATIONAL TEAMS: MANDATORY Meeting
for players and parents. Sunday Dec.
9th from 3-4pm. There will be team
practice both before and after- you will
be emailed about this soon. For top
teams, your $200 commitment deposit will
be due then. It is
required all attend, we will have team
meetings, discuss commitments, and
tournament options.

TOURNAMENT DATES / INFORMATION:
We will begin to work on Tournament
schedules soon and hope to have
tentative team tournaments posted by
early December.
December Plans: No teams are scheduled
to practice in December. During
December, we will offer
clinic/certification sessions. This
will be half the session (45-60 min)
will be a clinic, the other half will be
play during which time we will certify
officials.
UNIFORM PICKUP: - MANDATORY for
all travel Teams.
All travel teams members (including
Greenville) must schedule ( or get
someone) to come pick up uniform items
on Friday Dec. 7th 4pm-8pm or Saturday
Dec. 8th 10am-4pm. We will send out
what your items are and cost soon. All
teams will have the Black/Wht Asics
Jersey (except 13 and below tms). Also
the Asics Black/Wht bikers.
Teams under 13 will have the pink Mizuno
jersey, with solid black Mizuno bikers.
Top teams will also have a long sleeve
compression jersey and solid mizuno
black bikers.

We are working on practice schedules, which
will be either Simpsonville Rec or Potential
Sports Academy.
