1) If she is a beginner, 7th grade or below (we have taken a few 8th graders), OR she is a young developmental players with some experience ( Usually 4th grade and below) The best option for this age group is called KIDZ POWER.  For girls who have not played before, or limited training.  If they start here and we determine they are above this program level, we will recommend moving her up.

This program teaches all volleyball skills in a fun, awarding atmosphere, which includes games, drills, and some match play. Our coach to player ratio is limited to no more than 10-1.

Players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible, but not required- if they make 70% or more- you will get your monies worth.

Locations- We plan to offer Kidz Power Program at Simpsonville Rec, Spartanburg, and Greenville-Pavilion.

We have trained over 1000 beginners in last 10 yrs. Our training system is proven and recommended by most of the schools in our area.

What our members have said...

" Kidz Power was great for Lyndsey, we can't believe her skill level and how much she learned.  She made her middle school team and started as a 7th grader! Thanks to all the coaches for all they did!  She loved it! See ya next year. Carol T "

" Just wanted to drop you this email and tell you how much Amber loved your Kidz Power program.  It took her sister two years to learn to serve in school and Amber is serving better than she is after one season- wow! She loved the coaches- they are so good and make learning fun.  We plan to let her tryout for Dev. tms this season... thanks again! "

We offer three KIDZ POWER options.

1)
PRE-Kidz Power:
We have moved it from Monday to Tuesday nights- starts 2nd Tuesday in September and continues 6 wks, once a week ( 6 sessions) on Tuesday from 6:30-8pm at Westside Club- Sptbg (only). Program Fee is $60, we do not offer the free 3 practice "try us" option on this program (is available for limited and extended KP which begins in Nov). This is for 4th-8th grade and assumes beginner or players who just started learning. Register and simply show up for 1st practice with just gym clothes/shoes.  You can continue into Limited or Extended KP after Pre-KP.
Registration here

2) "Limited" Kidz Power: starts mid November and runs 6 wks TWO times a week ( 12 sessions). Practice times will be posted closer to start time and can be viewed on Schedule Page.  Program fee is shown on our Fee Page.  Players can upgrade to Extended Kidz Power anytime before Limited sessions end and just pay difference.

3) "Extended" Kidz Power: (Most Popular) Starts same time as Limited, mid November and continues for 12 wks ( 24 sessions- Mid Nov-Mid Feb). Includes two half day local tournaments. Program fee can be found on our Fee Page. ( we are looking for parents willing to be a team parent qualifying for 1/2 of fees- click here for more info). You can always start with Limited and upgrade to Extended and simply pay difference.

Limited and Extended programs run at same time- just limited stops after 6 weeks and extended continues.

Limited and Extended KIDZ POWER PROGRAMS OFFER A "FREE TRY US" option. You can try it for 3 practice sessions- if you like it, you pay, if you don't, you walk away, no cost and a keep the Tshirt. This is the ONLY program that offers a free try us option.

REMEMBER most do FUNDRAISING in order to cover fees.

There are NO TRYOUTS, we take players until we are full- first come (registered) first serve.

We have the TENTATIVE schedule already posted- click here type in "kid" in event cell and it will pull up schedule for Kidz Power programs for all locations.  You can type in the location and it will bring up just that location.

Our plans are to offer this program in each of our facilities,

PRACTICE LOCATIONS :  Click here for directions

Spartanburg- The Westside Club
East side of Greenville: The Pavilion ( same building as Ice Skating Rink)
Simpsonville: Simpsonville Rec

COACHES:  We will have a 8/10 to 1 ratio. Our coaching staff is 2nd to none.  Results from Club South speaks for itself!

We must meet minimum sign ups in order to offer at a specific location, normally 20. If not met, we will combine into another location close by. There may be a few practices we combine all locations into one big practice-scrimmage.

Players sign up by location, so even if you choose for example Simpsonville Rec, you have a choice to attend there, or also, any other of the scheduled practices at any location. We offer " Practice All You Want Policy"- so you can attend the other scheduled practices at any location. This also offers flexibility in schedules.

This program begins mid November. They practice twice a week, normally one week day and one weekend day. (schedules are posted early, click here to see). Our Sptbg location practices may vary weekday/wkend, since we have that facility 7 days a week. At Simp. Rec, we only have Wed ngts and Sunday afternoons (for the most part). At Pavilion, we have Tues, Thurs ngts and Sunday afternoons. Keep in mind you can practice as much as you want by attending other locations/times.

Normally, we will divide players by age, but normally, we will train all groups at same time, at same location. For example, in Spartanburg, we may have 6 groups, but all will train at same time at Westside Club, just divided by groups/teams.

Kidz Power teaches all fundamentals on an advanced level within a fun atmosphere.  Prizes are awarded at practices our "Success Store".  Typically our 12 wk program is equivalent to 2 seasons of school ball.

You have three options to choose from.

1) Non Travel Program  ( Lowest cost- little to no travel )
2) Developmental "Local" Travel Program (Less travel than Regional Travel and lower cost)
3) Regional Travel Program ( Regional Travel Tm-includes 5-6 tourneys in state)

1) NON TRAVEL- The program begins in mid November and goes 12 wks. There are NO TRYOUTS, it is first come-first serve ( registered and paid)- until full.

Our plans are to offer this program in each of our facilities

Tentative schedule is posted here

PRACTICE LOCATIONS FOR 2011:  Click here for directions

Spartanburg- The Westside Club
East side of Greenville: The Pavilion ( same building as Ice Skating Rink)
Simpsonville: Simpsonville Rec

We must meet minimum sign ups in order to offer at a specific location, normally 20. If not met, we will combine into another location close by.

Players sign up by location, so even if you choose, for example Simpsonville Rec, you can attend there, and also, any other of the scheduled practices at any location. We offer "Practice All You Want Policy"- so you can attend the other scheduled practices at any location as often as you like. This also helps work around busy schedules, since their is normally a NTT practice 4-5 days a week at one of our locations.

The program teaches advanced skills twice a week for the early weeks, then we train once a week and play matches the 2nd time in that week, normally the weekend session. (tentative schedules are posted closer to season start). Our 12 week program is equivalent to 2 school seasons.

Our Sptbg location practices may vary weekday/wkend, since we have that facility 7 days a week. At Simp. Rec, we only have Wed ngts and Sunday afternoons (for the most part). At Pavilion, we have Tues, Thurs ngts and Sunday afternoons.

Players are placed in training/team groups based on age, then skill. We make group placements in the first week- like a tryout, but only to place into groups.  Groups/teams will consist of 8-10 players.  We may move players between groups through the season.

Coaches may vary in non travel verses set coaches in travel team program.  This could be seen as a advantage since you get to learn from more than one coach.

Matches will be played local- sometimes at your signed up location, sometimes in one of our other locations. ( similar to school- home and away matches) just away is close by (Sptbg or Grvl). Matches will be against other non travel teams, CS travel teams, or other clubs in the area.

All non travel teams will participate in one half day tournament in early Feb. It will be local in one of our facilities.

2) Developmental Travel Teams (DT)for 4th - 7th grade. (7th grade is included in order to give a lower cost alternative vrs Regional travel teams. 7th graders only have a choice between Dev. Travel or Regional Travel.)

Who is Club South- check us out

DT is a program you must tryout for. Normally we are able to place 90% of the players. For players who we can't place will be assigned to Non Travel.

If they are experienced, we recommend:
(1st) Regional Travel Team - the Ultimate Experience,
(2nd) the Developmental Travel Team option (get your feet wet before Reg. Travel tm option or
(3rd) Non travel, which is the lowest cost and commitment of all three.

Developmental Travel training is taught at HS or college level skills, in addition to strong tournament competition. We have one dedicated coach per team vrs random coaches in Non Travel & Kidz Power.  They practice twice a week, normally one week night and one weekend day, Sat or Sun afternoon.

Developmental Travel is a step up from Kidz Power or Non Travel and is designed for athletes who have experience and knowledge of the skills.  Tryouts are held for this program and spaces are limited based on our coaching staff. Normally we are able to place 90% + of applicants. If they don't make it, they can choose to stay in Kidz Power ( if they are 5th grade or below) or Non Travel Program ( if they are 6th grade or above).

Our plans are to offer this program in each of our facilities in Greenville and Spartanburg.

Tryouts start in Oct for ages 13-14 and November for 15 and above and all location tryouts will be held at our Spartanburg location.  Our season will begin in Jan and run through end of March to Mid April, based on the regional state championship dates.

We are able to place on teams over 90% of athletes who tryout. We have a few that we have to place in Developmental Travel or Non Travel, in the older ages (17-18) we reserve the right to cut players.
