All our primary programs operate in the fall. Info meeting usually Oct. Tryouts/programs from Nov- April.
Below is a summary of all our program options. If you are new, feel free to call and discuss questions you can't find answers to with Jimmy (864) 576-3700.
What should you do:
BEGINNERS: Kidz Power I & II. In a 10-12
wk program, they will learn the equivalent of 2 seasons of school ball. It
is a fun, rewarding based teaching of advanced volleyball skills- with 2 half
day tournaments in Jan or early Feb. We do offer a shorter program (6wks)
, called Kidz Pwr I, and a reduced fee.
EXPERIENCED YOUNG ATHLETES (under 6th grade): We highly recommend the Developmental Travel Team option. This is a taste of travel teams, with a lower cost. Only 4 tournaments, 2 half days and 2 fill days. Training is higher level, in addition to strong tournament competition.
TRAVEL VRS NON-TRAVEL: Bottom line- travel teams are 3 x the experience than non travel, BUT non travel is the answer if you don't have the time commitment or if fees are a concern. Remember, many of our athletes

QUICK SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
Where do we play/practice? You have three locations to choose, Spartanburg or two in Greenville. Spartanburg is located currently at the Westside Club, located behind Target off Hwy 29, near Westgate Mall. Greenville practice locations can vary from Potential Sports Academy (Hwy 25 near Donaldson Ctr) or Simpsonville Rec or the Pavilion, located on east side of Greenville ( at Ice skating rink).
What Playing Options do I have?
You have several choices, based on what you want to do and
time/money commitment you want to make.
If you are a BEGINNER: Once choice-
participate with our Kidz Power Developmental Training
Program. You can try it for free, if unsure, for 3 practices. This gives
players a great and fun method to learn volleyball. Designed to have fun, while
teaching and includes match and tournament play- all local. Runs about 12 weeks
and practices twice a week.
6th Grade or below and played before: You can try out for our Developmental Travel, a small step up from Developmental Training. Higher level of training- participates in 3-4 tournaments, but at a lower rate than our regular travel teams.
7th grade and above- experienced player: You have two options, Non Travel Team or Travel Team . Non Travel practices once a week and has a match once a week- all at the practice facility- no travel involved. Travel Teams are offered in Regional Travel or National Travel Teams. All participants tryout in Nov and Dec and are placed on teams based on there talent and age. If you are chosen to play national, you can elect to play regional. Regional teams practice twice a week and national teams practice 3X a week.
What is the Practice Schedule? We don't set our detailed practice schedule until December, after teams are set. We operate 7 days a week and work around our coaches schedule, in addition to other team practices and availability. We do publish our schedule 3-4 weeks in advance and we are the only club that offers a FLEXIBLE schedule for travel teams ( if you have a conflict with your team practice, you can attend another day with another team) . For all programs, we will publish our schedule in advance for review.
How much does it cost? We wish we could do this for free! All quality programs cost- we are no exception. Compared to some clubs who have volunteer coaching staff, we pay ours above average in order to contract with the best in the Southeast. Our coaching staff is second to none. We charge about 90% of our actual cost per program and make up the additional 10% by hosting tournaments. The fee schedule is posted by program. If the fees are a problem, consider fundraising- we have a number of families who pay all fees via fundraising options.
